Scooter Birthdays!

I love this Scooter from the Wheel Thing. It is so versatile. I love how you can put anything on the back and change the occasion. Here are two more cards I made with this set.

The first card I made for my Cousin. It's for his 18th birthday. It's a little on the kid's side, but I find it so hard to make manly birthday cards. I used the Birthday Whimsy set with it. I stamped the package twice, once for the back of the scooter and one for the sentiment. I stamped Happy Birthday as a watermark at the top of the card in a line over and over. The red panel is actually the balloons from this set stamped and then trimmed with a white Signo pen, but you can't really tell, once I put everything over it.

The second card, I made for my sister's birthday. She loves scooters. I got this really cute set of paper (precut in all sizes) at Big Lots for $5. (I think I have seen a similar set at Walmart) I used my 7/8" square punch to punch a bunch of squares from 3 of the papers and then lined them up in rows. I found this sweet cupcake stamp in one of my Michaels clear stamp sets and paper pieced it using paper from the background. The scooter and sentiment is stamped in Colorbox chalk ink. I added pink button brads to look like hubcaps on the scooter. I added the wire edged ribbon and the flower with a brad in the middle. The bottom of the front of the card was snipped off using my fiskars scallop scissors. I love the colors in this paper and will definitely use it more.
